Privacy notice

Last reviewed: June 2026 · Data controller: Wellinhand, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom

This notice explains, in plain English, what we do with your information when you join our email list. We've tried to keep it short and honest. If anything here is unclear, please ask.

What we collect

If you sign up for our updates, we collect the email address you give us, and the date you subscribed. That's it. We don't ask for your name, your venue or anything else, and we don't use tracking or advertising cookies on this site. For basic traffic measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics, processed by Vercel on our behalf; it is cookie-free and does not identify you or track you across sites.

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We send you the email list on the basis of your consent, which you give by entering your address and subscribing. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Unsubscribing”, below), and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.

How we use it

We use your address for one purpose: to send you the occasional plain-English update about Martyn's Law and, when we launch, early access to the Wellinhand product. We will not sell or rent your address, and we will not pass it to anyone except the email provider described below.

Who processes it (our provider)

We use a third-party email platform to store the list and send the updates, acting as our data processor under a written agreement. We will name the specific provider here before the list goes live; it will be a provider that complies with UK and EU data protection law and stores data in the UK or EEA (or under equivalent safeguards). Until then, no addresses are collected through this site.

How long we keep it

We keep your address until you unsubscribe or until we close the list, whichever comes first. When you unsubscribe, we remove your address from active use and delete it within a reasonable period.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us at privacy@wellinhand.co.uk and we'll remove you. No reason needed, no questions asked.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email privacy@wellinhand.co.uk. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint — though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the “last reviewed” date above. Material changes affecting people already on the list will be flagged in an email.
